As I've watched the EVO Japan Soul Calibur VI tournament a few days ago, and the announcement within of a new now released costume pack, my attention focused once again on this game. The game, of course, and its character creator. As I am currently doing a Harem Collector playthrough, of course, the two ideas merged and I was thinking "Hey, I should make the HC cast in the character creator if it hasn't been done already"
Then I got ambitious.
So. I have a Plan. And, if it doesn't gather interest, I'll leave it at a fancy dream maybe for another time. But, here's what I hope to achieve.
How's that different? Well, in short, it's more fancy.
The idea isn't anymore simply to make the characters, take screenshots, and call it a day, but to have them FIGHT, in a computer versus computer tournament bracket, the replays being on youtube for everyone's enjoyment. At least if I can make Shadowplay (or some alternative) run. I'm confident.
But then I thought, how about taking it one final step further? And that's why there's that final word in the title. To make it even better and hilarious, I was thinking of having sports-style/Wrestling-style commentary over the videos. And I want some back and forth. So, I'm looking for a partner in crime!
That's right! This thread is your chance to be what you always dreamed of: a fictional shoutcaster for some fun fights with characters from your favorite harem collecting game. Here's what I'm looking for
-Someone with at least a half decent microphone: And while I'm not expecting full perfect audiophile-approved streaming setup or anything unreasonable, getting two dramatically different sound quality may break immersion. Because obviously this will be the most immersive experience since the invention of VR porn.
-Someone with... Maybe an half an hour's worth of time, on occasion: It's not exactly gonna be a marathon, and I like to think schedule will be pretty loose and at everyone's convinience. But, if there's literally not a single moment you're available in the next couple of months, that's gonna be a problem.
-Someone willing to have their voice heard by others on the internet: Nobody likes their own voice. Almost nobody anyway. So, accept that tragic fact of life, and just enjoy the ride as others will tell you "you don't sound bad at all!" and you'll be like "awww shucks"
-Someone with a british or american accent: That's not a strict requirement, but you probably noticed if you heard the example a few lines above how I sound kinda French. Having a clearer voice will certainly help the listeners, while I'll basically go [excited inferieux sounds] here and there. Again, don't think you should give up because you're from Finland. But, it's gonna play a part.
-Someone communicating: I'm absolutely open to unexpected events, changes of plan and so on. All I want in my life is a few sweet words whispered to me. Teamwork, bitches.
Surely you'd have noted the absence of any sort of talent, nor a required knowledge of Soul Calibur VI in these requirements. In fact, not knowing the game at all is kind of a plus, since it'll mean you can focus on the purely visual aspect of the fights. Which is what we're here for.
So. Interested by this funny little thing? Great! If you're interested as a spectator, voice your excitement, rub your hands and hype us up, it's good for the ego. If you want to participate, even better! Send a small link, either privately or in this thread with a voice sample so that, if there are several interested people, I can judgementally select who is worthy of standing at my side to laugh at the losers
