Man, balancing fights is such a pain. It's hard to find solid infos on the maths of it. It's an aspect of game design that usually seems not to get the attention it deserves, despite its importance.

(I'm not complaining about HC, just the general state of things.)

IMO the battle wasn't very hard late game as of v .37.4. The toughest battle so far for me is from alina's quest (game over several times during that quest lol), in hindsight I think I took that quest too early and should have wait a little more. My only complain is with the strange note boss, is it possible to defeat it on normal mode as of v .37.4? I can't figure out a legit way to defeat him.

personally I like the intense difficulty and hope it stays, occasionally I think the game may be a tad bit un carnival fair but overall don't make the game easier
